I noticed a few good timber details while out and about this week.
Not polished brochure shots. Just real packs, real yards and proper people doing proper work.
There are a few things worth looking at in these photos. The way packs are strapped. The way bearers sit under the timber. The difference between a clean machined face and a rougher sawn edge. The small labels and marks that tell you something, even before anyone says a word.
Good timber should be easier to understand. Sometimes that starts with looking closely at the ordinary stuff: how it is stacked, moved, protected and loaded.
