What each thing means

Species picker: Embeds heuristic target moisture + dry rate ordinal—dense hardwood target lower than framing softwood illustrative defaults.
Thickness: Single nominal thickness heuristic—compound thickness stacks would weight slowest lamina manually.
Days drying: Calendar elapsed since stickered—including pauses—you compare against stylised ETA totalDays.
Start / current MC: Percent moisture content basis—you track drop ratio vs total journey to target—not absolute archaeology grade.

READY flag flips loosely when current MC within +1 points of illustrative species target—not contractual dryness. Progress bar proportional drop between entered start & theoretical target—not moisture gradient through thickness.
